So the first week has been and gone already. After cutting calories by 250 from 2300 down to 2050 and introducing more cardio into my sessions I had my weekly check in this morning and boom -exactly the same weight as last week. I did weigh myself on Friday morning to see how the numbers were moving and kinda’ wish I hadn’t as I was 1lb up but it came back down again for today.
Obviously feeling a little ‘meh’ as we all do when we work hard and see no changes on the scale but I’m not going to let it get me down-weight can fluctuate quitea bit depending on the time of the month and other things so unless there’s any drastic change, I’m gonna stay focused and keep working hard. I’m keeping my calories the same for the next 2-3 weeks unless I don’t see another change on my next weigh in then I’ll do some adjustment. At the moment, most of the calorie deficit is taken from carbs so my protein is still around 1.2g per pound of body weight and my fat is at around 0.45g per pound of body weight. If you’re not a regular gym goer then 0.8g-1g per pound of body weight is sufficient (and much easier to obtain).
I’ll slowly be reducing my carbohydrates over the next 12 weeks to reduce my fat % so as all you fellow carb lovers out there can imagine- I ain’t looking forward to that!
