Home workouts are the perfect solution if you want to exercise but don't want or have time to go to the gym. Sorry - no more excuses!

The J.E.T.-Fitness 8 week express (30-40 minute) home workout program has been designed for the goal of losing fat and building some lean muscle (toning up) - a good all-rounder!

All you need is:

SET OF DUMBBELLS

I use 5kg in the program videos, however you may wish to purchase a heavier or lighter set (or both) depending on your current strength. They will be used for a number of lower body exercises such as deadlifts, squats and upper body exercises such as biceps curls, shoulder press and triceps extension. Bottles of water can also be used as a cheaper lighter set alternative to purchasing 2 sets.

EXERCISE BALL

Yep, the big boucy gym ball, however smaller versions such as the one I use (pictured above) is around 45cm and is ample for most exercises in the program (plus it takes up less space than the bigger ones and can quickly and easily be inflated and deflated)

 

SKIPPING ROPE

A skipping rope is optional and depends on the space you have in your home. If you're tight on space, you can use your free 'invisible rope' (yeah i've done it in the past) as an alternative.

CHAIR

A sturdy dining chair is all you need. This will be used to perform exercises such as step ups and triceps dips. Make sure that it is weighted enough so it doesn't move when your performing the exercises. If it slides easily on the floor, try placing it next to a wall so you know it wont be moving anywhere mid exercise.
